If Money Talks, Then Let It Be Heard (to Increase Hand Hygiene Compliance)

There is overwhelming data and evidence that smoking kills. Yet people smoke. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, in 2012, there were 21,667 passenger vehicle occupants who lost their lives in traffic crashes, and an estimated 2.09 million were injured. According to the CDC website, adult seat belt use is the most effective way to save lives and reduce injuries in crashes. Yet people still do not wear their seatbelts.

It is easy to see that having data and knowing the facts does not always equate to the safest decision being made.
